Editorial policy

How we research

We start from what people in Singapore are actually searching for, then list the businesses that genuinely serve that need, whether or not they have any relationship with us.

How we check facts

Addresses, opening hours, prices, licences and review figures are checked against the business's own website, its Google Business Profile, or the relevant public register. Each guide shows when its figures were last checked.

How often we update

We revisit every guide at least once every 12 months, sooner when a business closes or changes materially. A guide that we can no longer keep accurate is taken down.

Who answers for each guide

Every guide names our editor-in-chief, Jim Ng, with a photo, because one person is accountable for what we publish. A guide marked "Reviewed by" was read by that editor before it was published. A guide without that line was put together by our editorial team and has not been through that review yet. About our editor.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, tell us through our contact page. We fix factual errors promptly and note significant corrections on the page.
